Our work with charity Soon after “Bags of Class” was set up I realised we had the perfect opportunity to hold raffles at our bag parties and help a local charity I chose a Brest cancer charity that is local to the area we where working, it seamed the natural choice as many of the women at the parties have had there lives touched in some way by this . On the 20th of October I was proud to hand over £1235.00 on behalf of all the women who work with “Bags of Class” and all our generous customers to the “CRAZY HATS” team in Wellingborough.
Now that we have expanded our work into all the surrounding counties of Northamptonshire, I wanted to find a charity that was relevant to all of us, so from now on we will be fundraising for the air ambulance .which I think is also very worthy cause . Please look at the examples below:

I held a handbag party recently at my home to raise funds for the MIND organisation for which my daughter works. This organisation needs all the help it can get and the money I raised from having this handbag party helped them enormously.
Michelle came along and with a very professional manner placed the bags, purses etc. around my home for all to see. There was a wonderful collection and my friends and family were most impressed by the stock shown.
The evening was a great success and the money I made from my commission was very helpful going towards the refurbishing of the MIND day care room in Kettering.
Michelle has obviously worked very hard at her business and in my opinion does a wonderful job and is very generous, giving not only commission on goods sold but also gifts that the charity can put in their raffles etc.

Michelle arrived about an hour before the party was due to begin. I thought she’d brought Dr Who’s Tardis! There were so many holdalls of handbags she couldn’t possibly have got them all in her car!
Once she had set the bags and purses out on the tables and on the stands that she had provided, it looked fabulous, there were bags to suit just about every taste and pocket. Prices were very affordable with lots of bags for about £5; even the leather and designer bags were priced reasonably at roughly £25 to£30. She had brought along everything from glitzy evening bags to children’s rucksacks, everyday handbags to wheeled suitcases, purses to huge designer tote bags.
Michelle set herself up in a corner and handled questions and sales in a friendly and professional manner. I think everyone found a least one item they liked and lots of people went away with bulging carrier bags!
At the end of the evening, using my commission, I was able to buy 4 handbags, 2 wallets and a purse for about £12!
To say I was pleased is an understatement and my friends and I are really looking forward to my next ‘Bags of Class’ party.

The Bags of Class party was a great way to combine two of my favourite pastimes - socialising with friends and shopping! I had no trouble in getting friends to accept the invitation to come along and everyone commented on the range and quality of the bags on display.
The Party Organiser was both professional and friendly, setting out the display and packing away at the end of the evening, so that very little effort was required by myself. . Held at my house it was both convenient and relaxed..
Everybody left clutching a bargain and as the hostess I earnt enough commission from the evening's sales to treat myself and my mother to a new handbag . I would thoroughly recommend a 'Bags of Class' party to anyone wanting a fun way to shop with friends! |
